Anna Vladymyrska, the Chairwoman of the American Acorn Foundation, pursued her higher education at prestigious institutions, including Columbia University and Stanford University, where she gained a background in international relations and development. In her professional career, Anna has worked in strategic planning and organizational development for McKinsey & Company, and founded ShopParty, a social shopping platform that combines personalization, socialization, and commerce. As Chairwoman of the American Acorn Foundation, Anna intends to employ her vision to expand the organization’s impact and effectiveness.
Valentin Saitarli
Valentin Saitarli, the President of the American Acorn Foundation, is a graduate of Columbia University where he gained a robust foundation in business and technology. In his professional career, Valentin has worked in an innovative technological capacity for companies such as Apple and Uber Eats in addition to his entrepreneurial ventures in AI technology. In his work for the American Acorn Foundation, Saitarli pioneered the foundation’s innovative Gemini Approach, using his technological background to provide aid to communities affected by conflict.
Scott Mauvais
Scott Mauvais, the Executive Vice President of the American Acorn Foundation, has established himself in the worlds of technology and philanthropy through 23 years at the Microsoft company. During his time at Microsoft, Scott led efforts to identify and invest in social impact projects, directed the Microsoft Technology Center, and collaborated with city leaders to apply Microsoft’s resources and expertise to foster civic tech ecosystems and create economic growth opportunities. Through his work for the American Acorn Foundation, Scott intends to leverage his experience to drive further advancements in humanitarian aid and sustainable development.
Garth Spencer
Garth Spencer, the Executive Vice President of Government Affairs at the American Acorn Foundation, is a master’s graduate from the University of Pennsylvania with a background in public service and policy advocacy. Through his work for the Federal Government, Delaware State Government, and in the private sector, Garth has served as a Legislative Fellow, Project Director, and Head of Government Affairs for Ansys. Through his rich experience, Garth has cultivated skills in government relations, political affairs, fundraising, technology policy, economic development, and financial analysis. He is now excited to use these skills to foster positive change.
Lee Caplin
Lee Caplin, Chairman on the Board of Advisors at the American Acorn Foundation, is a distinguished American entertainment and communications industry executive, best known for founding Picture Entertainment Corporation and co-founding Penske Media Corporation. With a rich background in law, art, and entertainment production, Caplin has significantly impacted the media landscape through his innovative leadership and visionary projects. Through his background in entertainment and media, Lee will connect the American Acorn Foundation to these influential sectors.
Dr. Olamide Oladeji
Dr. Olamide Oladeji is a distinguished artificial intelligence expert and innovator, specializing in AI solutions for global challenges aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals. With a PhD from Stanford and dual master’s degrees from MIT focusing on AI, Dr. Oladeji has over a decade of experience in developing AI applications for social impact. In his professional career, Dr. Oladeji has founded multiple successful AI ventures, including his current role as the CEO of Exo AI. He has also earned recognition in Forbes 30 Under 30 and acknowledgment from USCIS for extraordinary ability in computational modeling for sustainable development.
Christopher Marshall
Christopher Marshall, the Executive Vice President of Operations for the American Acorn Foundation, began his professional career in Military Service where he received training as a cryptologic linguist and later as a cryptographic signals intelligence analyst. These experiences provided him with analytical skills and a keen attention to detail that have helped launch several successful entrepreneurial ventures. In his work for the American Acorn Foundation, he plans to use his experience to promote collaboration and growth in affected communities.
